Art and Cultural Education Observatory

European Network of Observatories in the Field of Arts and Cultural Education linked to UNESCO (ENO)

The aim of an order to enhance and advance arts and cultural education in Europe through international collaboration in research and joint development of concepts and strategies for innovative practices we propose to establish a European Network of Observatories in Arts and Cultural Education with a strong link to UNESCO. A central concern of this network is the integration of topics, which – with respect to the Post-2015-Sustainable Development Agenda – will  include development, sustainability, improving the quality dimensions of Education For All, education for peace, participation in urban development, heritage education, globalization, cultural diversity, as well as the cultural and creative industries.

Incorporating such themes within arts and cultural education will inevitably change its forms and content.

The coordinator of the network is UNESCO Chair in Arts and Culture in Learning, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
